Help Getting Started

If this is your first time logging into your WHM. The first thing you need to do is "Create A Package'. Each time you have a domain to host, you will simply select a hosting package. When creating your hosting package, use the following format:

<username>_packagename

* yes, include the brackets

* In your Cpanel please click on 'Update Contact Info' and enter your email address.

* Your hosting account is automatically setup with a 'Catch All' email account. This means that anything emailed to you@yourdomain.com will automatically be forwarded to username@yourdomain.com. You can still create additional pop accounts.

* Setting up Outlook Express: pop server = mail.yourdomain.com smtp server = mail.yourdomain.com

* Spam Assassin has been known to cause email problems. If you experience email problems please disable Spam Assassin from your Control Panel.

* If you are having problems with your email, propagation has occurred, and your email was previously working. Ask yourself a few questions: 1. Have you modifed the hosting packages? 2. Have you changed the username or password for the domain in question.

From recent support issues we have found that some resellers are modifying their hosting packages, but not adding email accounts to the hosting package. It's a good idea to just type 1000 for email accts, etc... Another thing to check - in your email client, don't place a check mark next to anything that says 'authentication' or 'secure'. It isn't necessary.

News

11.20.02 :: Due to an update in Cpanel/WHM when you create your hosting packages you should enter a number instead of unlimited. Example: 1000 email accounts. We can still activate your account to accept unlimited, so if you don't want to use 1000 email accounts, let us know and we'll modify your account so you can use the word 'unlimited'. Just send an email to support with your domain name and username.

10.23.02 :: Shared SSL is now installed on the server. To access the shared SSL simply link to the page/images that you want secured by using https://server26.com/~username/file.html It's recommended that you create a directory named 'secure' and place the documents and or images in that directory.

10.23.02 :: Please note: if you do not have access to the Fantastico scripts (PHP Nuke, Postnuke, phpBB2, phpProjekt, phpAuction, etc...) and would like access to these scripts you must be using the 'CoolBreeze' CPanel theme and the 'SkinEnglish' language. If you need assistance you may contact support.

10.15.02 :: Updated to PHP-Nuke Version 6. Added Invision Board. (see above for the other scripts)

10.12.02 :: We added a few custom WHM and Control Panel themes. Our stainless steel, coolbreeze, and zabrinski themes now support English, Spanish, French, and German. When using any of these themes you must select the language from the drop down list (skinenglish, skinspanish, skinfrench, skingerman). For instance, if you choose the "CoolBreeze, stainless steel, or zabrinski' themes, you must select 'skinenglish' for the language. If not you won't see the links in the control panel. We also added several Open Source Applications (aka Fantastico). These apps are currently only available in the 'coolbreeze' cp theme. We may add them to the 'stainless steel' theme in the near future. So what's available in the Fantastico package? How about: Xoops, b2, OS Commerce 2.2, phpBB2, 4Images Gallery, phpAuction, phpProjekt, PHP-Nuke, Postnuke, phpLinks, and phpWebsite. If you don't want your customers to have access to these scripts, please don't set their account up to use the 'coolbreeze' theme. If you want to charge your customers extra for using these apps you can (ie setup fee, extra $5 per month, etc...).
